Harbro Limited is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with J&W Tait, Orkney to acquire its feed and fertiliser sales operations, effective from 1st March 2026. This strategic acquisition strengthens Harbro’s position within the industry and provides access to a key location, enhancing the company’s ability to support customers and extend its market reach.
As part of this integration the existing team at the Kirkwall site will join Harbro as it assumes responsibility for feed & fertiliser sales from that location. Harbro will broaden the range of its products and services available, giving customers a wider choice and greater access to nutritional support.
This move will bring a direct supply to Orkney farmers from Harbro as a core manufacturer of compound feed, blends, mineral buckets and blocks. We will also bring Harbro’s wider product portfolio and buying power to benefit the Orkney farming community. Harbro continues to invest in the North of Scotland and the Islands and have a state-of-the-art feed mill in Inverness which is well located to do this.
